A visit to the Espaces EDF Bazacle in Toulouse, combining art, energy and cultural heritage.

The Espaces EDF Bazacle, located in the heart of the city along the Garonne River, occupies 2,000 m² dedicated to industrial history, local culture and the environment. This unique site, 8 km from Le Rupé campsite, offers an interactive scenography combining sound terminals, videos and models to raise awareness of energy, water and biodiversity issues. The building also houses a working hydroelectric power station, linking the technical past with the cultural present.

An immersive tour of the Bazacle, featuring digital works and major contemporary artists.

The current flagship exhibition is Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience, with over 300 works presented in a 360° room, accompanied by a sound and light show and an immersive virtual reality experience. Other exhibitions, such as that devoted to M.C. Escher, have already taken over the space, blending art, technology and visual questioning.

Another of the site’s charms is its 400 m² panoramic terrace overlooking the Garonne, offering a breathtaking view of Toulouse. In addition to the exhibits, visitors can discover the fish pass, with an underwater viewing port to catch a glimpse of the river’s migratory species. This setting combines architectural heritage, technology and nature, making the visit a multidisciplinary experience.
