On site, Ariège Parapente offers tandem flights with qualified instructors – ideal for beginners wishing to discover free flight without prior experience. Depending on the weather and launch site, you can reach impressive altitudes, glide for several minutes and admire the mountains, valleys and villages below. Equipment (harness, helmet) is provided, and staff ensure safety and comfort. For the more inquisitive, introductory sessions or first flights can be arranged. How to get there
From the campsite
Take-off is 13 km from the campsite, in the direction of Prat d’Albis.
From the Camping du Lac in Foix, it’s just 13 km to Ariège Parapente’s take-off point at Prat d’Albis, one of the most beautiful belvederes in the département. The car journey is straightforward and offers a gradual ascent with spectacular panoramic views over the valley and Foix castle. Once at the summit, there’s plenty of parking space before you join the instructor for your flight. If you don’t have a car, a cab or car pool from Foix is a practical solution for this unforgettable aerial experience.
