The Cabannes market takes place every Sunday morning (often from ~8am to ~1pm), in the village square. It’s a rather small and friendly market, perfect for a morning stroll on the terrace or a picnic. Typical stalls feature farmhouse cheeses, honeys, artisan breads, seasonal vegetables, fresh eggs, herbs and sometimes local creations (syrups, jams, herbal teas). Visitors recommend coming early to make the most of the fresh produce and chat with the producers. It’s also the ideal place to sample authentic Ariège specialities.
