Located near the village of Aulus-les-Bains, in the Garbet valley, the Ars waterfall is one of the highest and most impressive waterfalls in the Pyrenees. With a total vertical drop of 246 metres over three levels, it is a breathtaking sight, especially in spring when the snow melts.

About 2 h 30 round trip on a well-marked trail
The trail starts from Aulus-les-Bains, at 750 m altitude. The trail climbs steadily through the forest, following a stream and then leading to clearings with views of the waterfall. The route is suitable for families used to walking, with around 500 m of positive ascent.

Powerful cascade in spring, peaceful and shady in summer
The waterfall reaches full flow between May and June, with an impressive din. In summer, it remains spectacular but quieter, offering a cool stopover in the heart of the woods. Autumn reveals a flamboyant landscape, with colorful forests and soft light.
