Invigorating hike near Toulouse: hills, woods and unobstructed views to recharge your batteries.

The circuit starts in Mervilla, on the outskirts of Toulouse, and runs for almost 10 km. It passes through undergrowth, fields and valleys, mixing wooded passages with openings onto the surrounding hillsides. The route offers a fine overview of the rural landscapes close to the city.

This is a medium-level hike – around 3h30 walking time for 9.97 km, with a climb of +240 m.

Some sections can be slippery after rain, and some paved sections run alongside roads – caution is advised when crossing. The signposting is correct, but a good pair of shoes and a little vigilance are recommended. The starting point for spending time in nature is only 24 km from the campsite!

From the campsite, take the streetcar or metro to the city center, then a bus or train to Mervilla or a nearby village (depending on available lines). From there, it’s an easy walk to the start of the tour. With a bit of planning, the round trip can be made by public transport – a great hike accessible without a car. Alternatively, drive the 24 km!
