Located in Mazères, in the north of the Ariège region, the Domaine des Oiseaux is a 100-hectare nature reserve, ideal for a family outing, a nature break or an introduction to ornithology. Accessible to all, this site combines protected areas, developed trails and discreet observation zones, in the heart of a peaceful landscape.

More than 250 species recorded throughout the year
The estate is home to many sedentary and migratory species: herons, egrets, storks, ducks, passerines. .. Depending on the season, birds can be observed with the naked eye or binoculars, from wooden observatories set up around the lakes. Educational panels explain the species to be seen and the ecosystems involved.

Marked trails, accessible to all ages
The estate is criss-crossed by flat, well-maintained paths, accessible to baby carriages and bicycles. Perfect for a walk with the kids or a relaxing break. There are also wooded areas, meadows and several ponds where wildlife thrives undisturbed.
