Underground cathedrals, giant stalagmites and absolute silence
The cave can be explored on foot during tours lasting between 1 h 30 and 2 h 30, depending on the itinerary chosen. You’ll pass through spectacular chambers such as the Cathedral Room, over 70 metres high, and come across millennia-old formations with astonishing shapes, such as the “Tombeau de Pyrène”.

Lombrives is much more than a geological site: it’s also a place of memory. Human bones have been discovered here, bearing witness to ancient burials. The cave served as a refuge for the Cathars and inspires many local legends, reinforcing its mysterious aura.
