This tour takes you to the heart of the Domaine des Oiseaux in Mazères, a protected natural area where meadows, woods, lakes, woodlands and streams mingle. You’ll discover a rich biodiversity – including many species of birds, including storks – in a peaceful, unspoilt setting. The trail combines nature, peace and quiet with the opportunity to come into contact with the adjoining farm and its animals.

The walk is around 11.5 km long, with a very slight positive gradient. It’s a “very easy” route – accessible to families, children, baby carriages or inexperienced walkers. The trail takes in flat paths, riverbanks and shady areas, making it ideal for a relaxing afternoon or a leisurely stroll. From the La Bastide campsite, the starting point is the Domaine des Oiseaux – easily accessible by car or bike, depending on your equipment. In just a few minutes, you can reach the entrance (white gantry), park or drop off your bikes, then start the walk without any complicated organization. Perfect for a relaxing morning out!
