Visit the Ariège and the Pyrenees by staying in a Gîte d’étape et de groupe in the village of Les Cabannes!
Our complex offers twin or triple rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen, in the spirit of a youth hostel (without dormitories!). Bed linen is not provided. The 2-star self-catering cottages are private, comfortable apartments with en-suite bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchens (dishwasher), living rooms with TV and sunny terraces.
The 14-person family cottages are ideal for a stay with family or friends. The wooden chalet is a cosy cocoon for 4 people, with a fully-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, TV and terrace. Finally, group accommodation is ideal for large family reunions, association stays or school trips.

Just 5 minutes from the major climbing routes at Le Quié de Sinsat, Complexe Les Oustalous is ideally located for exploring the 70 km of equipped routes in the Ariège. It’s also at the foot of the Beille Nordic ski resort, perfect for skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding. Nearby, you can go canoeing on the Ariège or visit the Niaux cave and its prehistoric paintings. There’s plenty to do in the region, from rock climbing to canyoning, not forgetting the accrobranche park and the Orlu nature reserve, ideal for watching marmots and wolves.

What happens if we arrive after closing time?
You’ll find instructions on how to get to your room on the reception door. On the door to your room you’ll find your name and the keys.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, they’re welcome on a leash in communal areas, provided of course that you pick up their droppings. A daily supplement of 6 euros will be charged.
What are the pool's operating conditions?
The swimming pool is unsupervised, so use is entirely your own responsibility, and is restricted to use between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for the peace and quiet of all residents.
Are sheets provided?
No, you must bring your own sheets or sleeping bags, otherwise hire a sheet+towel kit for 10€.
Do you offer any entertainment?
No, our establishment does not offer any entertainment. The swimming pool and bowling green are freely accessible.
Does your establishment have a bar or restaurant?
No, but you’ll find them in the village square, a 5-minute walk away.
Is a train coming?
Yes, the Paris-Latour de Carol line stops at Les Cabannes, and the station is a 5-minute walk away.
